 Frequently Asked Questions

How long does this patented process take and what are the results?

The treatment takes only 15-20 minutes, and everyone will see whiter teeth after their first session, although results can vary from person to person depending on age and genetics.  Remember, no amount of bleach will result in unnaturally white teeth because your teeth cannot be bleached whiter than genetically possible.

Is Global Whitening safe?

Research has shown that when teeth and gums are normal and healthy, there are no harmful effects from dental bleaching. You must make sure the dosage is of legal limits and not excessive and administered in a professional manner. Global Whitening ensures a precise level of dosing that meets legal requirements. The unique Global Whitening gel containing the active ingredient prevents excessive dosing. The brief treatment time of only 15-20 minutes also plays an important role.

Who may benefit from the Global Whitening system?

Almost everyone will benefit from the Whitening process if teeth and gums are healthy. People with tooth decay and with any type of gum disease should avoid this treatment. Pregnant or nursing women should not undergo dental bleaching; no know side effects are affirmed, but it is a recommended precaution.  Tetracycline stains cannot be removed but are improved. Also, any stains resulting from excessive fluorides or porous teeth will have little result. Excluding the above, about 95% of our clients experience great success.

FAQ

Are there any side effects?

Some people may feel a little tingling sensation on the gums; this is normal and over as soon as you rinse your mouth.

Is this whitening process permanent?

Teeth whitening is not a permanent solution and requires maintenance or touch-ups for a long-lasting effect.  For most people, the treatment will last for many years. Your teeth have become stained in the first place from consuming certain foods and beverages. The older you are, the more stains you have accumulated. Also, the older you get, the more stubborn the stains. Bleaching works to remove stains and restore your teeth back to their natural white color. Exposure to coffee, tea, cola, red wine, carrots, oranges and other deeply colored foods and drinks as well as smoking will gradually darken teeth again over time. You may want to periodically bleach your teeth. After an initial treatment, most people do touchups about once every month. Here is what you can do to keep your teeth stain-free longer:

·         Follow up with a Whitening Home Kit or whitening toothpaste

  • When possible, use a straw when consuming
    dark-colored beverages
  • Practice good oral hygiene by brushing and
flossing after meals and at bedtime

How long before I can eat or drink after my treatment?

For the first 24 hours after your whitening session, we recommend avoiding smoking, coffee, tea, dark colored sodas, red wine, berries, red sauces, beets, or any other foods or drinks that have the propensity to stain. Remember, anything that can stain a white tee shirt can stain your teeth.
